Audio and text together

Enable spoken exercises, replay the current section and adjust the speed. Important instructions and exercise text also appear on screen. Blind-Modus hides typing text only while supported speech is working.

Display and pacing

Choose high contrast, text sizes from 20 to 64 px, a font and an optional visual keyboard. Use word-based sessions instead of a countdown. Custom colours need sufficient contrast; reduced-motion preferences suppress animated celebrations.

Keyboard navigation and feedback

Controls expose labels and exercise feedback uses live status regions. Tab can leave the shortcut capture area. These implementation features do not establish complete screen-reader or keyboard-only compatibility.

Verification status

End-to-end testing with VoiceOver, NVDA and JAWS, high zoom and keyboard-only navigation is still outstanding. AlphaType does not yet claim verified full accessibility for visually impaired learners. Speech also depends on the browser and available system voices.
